Important Volunteer Information

In order for Rocklin Jr. Thunder Football & Cheer to successfully operate this year, it is necessary for all families to participate in the many jobs and duties required on Game Day.  Each family will be required to work a minimum of 10 hours.  Families with multiple children participating in either football and/or cheer will be required to work extra shifts.  Once the job list is prepared, parents will be given two weeks to pick jobs, after than, any unfilled shifts will be assigned by RJT at its discretion.

The following descriptions are for your consideration:

Gate:  Adults 18 years and over are required to receive entrance fees for every home game.  The gate requires two people for security and safety purposes.  Gate workers will work the game prior or after their own child's game.

Snack Bar:  Required to work in the snack bar selling food and beverages. Only High School age students and adults are allowed to work in the snack bar area.  Workers will work the game prior or after their own child's game.

BBQ:  Required to work at the grill preparing hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken.  Only adults are allowed to work in the BBQ area.  Workers will work the game prior or after their own child's game.

Set Up:  Assists the RJT Board in setting up the high school fields for game day.  This is usually a Mighty Mite Football and/or Cheer family who will already be at the field after dropping off players for the first game.  Signing up for multiple game days is preferred for consistency and speed.

Take-down Cleanup:  Assists in the cleaning up after the last game of the day.  Usually Midget Football and/or Cheer since they are already there.  Signing up for multiple game days is preferred for consistency and speed.

Booster Sales:  Required to work the booster clothing table at home games.  Workers will work the game prior to or after their own child's game.

PAR (play allotment rule):  Two adults are required each game, HOME & AWAY to record the number of plays each child is on the field.  GAMES WILL NOT BE PLAYED WITHOUT THESE PERSONNEL IN PLACE.  Training will be provided for this important job.  This job will take place on the sidelines while your children participate. Football Parents only.  Experience is key to this job so if you have done it before, we encourage you to sign up for this task.

Chain Gang:  3 workers at away games only will be on the field working the yard marker and chains.
